“My artwork is informed by a geographic intersection: the crisp light and clean colors of my childhood in southwestern Colorado, and the softer, more atmospheric influences of my current Georgia home. The juxtapositions of air and weight, movement and stillness, definition and softness reveal a hybrid world within my paintings. I am interested in the expression of movement within nature, how these energies present themselves and interact with their surroundings. I’m curious about the subject itself and its liminal energetic qualities. Such curiosity roots my work in the world, fostering an understanding of the interconnectedness of all things, which, in turn, compels me to be a better steward of the earth and human being.”
